The Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology (C&G 2330, 'Technical Certificate') is the recognised entry-level qualification for the electrical installation industry, developed for candidates who are currently working towards or starting a career in electrical installation and contracting Industry.

The Certificate syllabus covers essential electrotechnical theory and practical hand skills, divided into four modules. Training is delivered via a combination of classroom- and workshop-based sessions on a full-time basis over (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm) over approximately 8 weeks. The Certificate may also be undertaken on a day-release basis over approximately 48 weeks.

*If you are currently engaged within the Electrical installation industry you may be eligible to undertake the Certificate as part of an Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrotechnical Technology (Level 2 & 3). This is a government funded training scheme for 16 to 65 year olds. Please refer to the Apprenticeship section for more details.
