STOP PRESS: Changes to ACS Competence Assessments
CPA1 becomes prerequisite February 2010
[Friday, November 27, 2009]
Competence in the use of a flue gas analyser (module CPA1 in ACS terms) will become a prerequisite for anyone undertaking either of the ACS appliance modules HTR1 or CEN1 with effect from 1 February 2010.
The CPA1 ACS assessment for Flue Gas Analysis was introduced in June 2009 in support of BS7967: Carbon Monoxide in Dwellings and the Combustion Performance of Gas Fired Appliances.
WLT Ltd are offering CPA1 courses with limited availability during December. Additional courses will be scheduled for early in the New Year to compensate for the increased demand in light of the recent change in the requirements for ACS competence assessments.
Our CPA1: Flue Gas Analysis course (1/2 day training, 1/2 day assessment) covers the use of electronic combustion gas analysers in commissioning, servicing and maintenance of domestic gas appliances. Analysers are provided for use during the course.
For more information and to book your assessment in time for the February deadline, please contact us on 01252 400370 or by email to info@wlt-group.com
